- Hyper-local crop advice, planting calendars and 7-day weather calibrated to each farmer’s GPS-pinned plot using GAEZ agro-ecological data.
- Offline-first Android and iOS apps; a farm diary and ledger that builds a financial record credible to buyers and lenders. WhatsApp is used only for one-time passwords and utility notifications.
- Built for smallholder farmers across Sub-Saharan Africa; 500+ farmers on the product since the November 2025 launch. Funded by outgrower and contract-farming programmes, free to farmers.

Maintained TinCan, the messaging and booking-state system behind every customer touchpoint for a tour operator moving 200,000+ travellers a year across 100+ destinations.
- Two-microservice Python architecture (Django + Flask) on RabbitMQ and AWS, sustaining 10,000–30,000 emails a day.
- Led systems integration for the National Geographic Expeditions partnership — 106 trips across 59 destinations, extended through 2035.
- Built self-serve template tooling that cut email turnaround from days to minutes; raised CI/CD, testing and monitoring standards.

Architected the backend and cloud infrastructure that carried a financial-education platform through a critical growth phase.
- Core Django + PostgreSQL API architecture, CI/CD pipelines and containerised services under the mobile and web products.
- Conceived and shipped the FinMeUp Daily Quiz, which became central to the daily-active-user metric.
- Integrated payment processors and insurance APIs; built the BI dashboards leadership ran on.

Ran backend engineering for an NFT marketplace through its highest-profile drops.
- Core backend services and distributed queuing for minting, transfers and notifications across Ethereum, Polygon and GNOSIS.
- Coordinated delivery of the Nelson Mandela Warrant of Arrest NFT and the fractionalised 1892 Krugerrand collection.

On-demand logistics platform connecting anyone who needs to move something with the nearest available vehicle. I built and ran the entire technical stack.
- Django + PostGIS matching backend, three Ionic Angular clients, RabbitMQ async work, Paystack and Flutterwave payments, and the operations BI dashboards.
- Winner of the Wharton Africa Business Forum New Venture Competition (2021); $50,000 from V8 Capital Partners’ Growth Lab (2020).
- Recruited and mentored the first engineering cohort of four graduate trainees, now mid-to-senior engineers.
- truQ has since raised $470K+ in total, joined Techstars 2022, received the Google Black Founders Fund and won the TC Startup Battlefield 2023, all after my tenure.

Android point-of-sale software and PWAs powering prepaid electricity, water and utility vending across a 600,000+ smart-meter footprint.
- Smart-meter and IoT integration at protocol level (MODBUS, DLMS, SIGFOX) through to gateway payments with OZOW and Paygate.
- Built and supported the prepaid electricity and water billing systems.
- Coached seven colleagues onto Git as the team standard and mentored six graduate trainees, now mid-to-senior developers.

Tech Innovation Lead (Consulting) — CodeFarm Technologies
Led technology innovation and built the mobile field-data tooling behind a USAID-funded public-health survey in Namibia.
- GeoDjango backend, PostGIS storage and a hybrid Ionic Angular field app for large-scale field data collection.
- Built and ran the data cleaning and analysis pipelines that turned raw GIS-tagged field data into policy-grade insight.

Winner — New Venture Competition, Wharton Africa Business Forum
truQ took the new-business award while I was CTO.
Winner — Mobile Financial Services Hackathon
Led the team that built a credit-scoring engine for the informal sector using mobile-money transaction data.
Undergraduate Innovator of the Year — Research Council of Zimbabwe
For a computer-vision system for automated driver-behaviour monitoring and access control, later used for Traffic Impact Assessments in Harare.
Designed an access-control device — University of Zimbabwe
A second-year project — a health-advising interface device on a PIC18F4550 microcontroller retrofitted into a modified digital scale — was adopted by the Department of Accommodation and Catering Services, which deployed its access-control system across the university.
